Tychy and Třinec Share Spoils in Friendly Encounter
GKS Tychy hosted FK Třinec on a warm July evening in what proved to be a competitive friendly fixture. Both sides approached the match with clear intent to work on their match fitness and tactical shape ahead of the new campaign. The atmosphere was buoyant but relaxed, befitting a pre-season encounter between two sides looking to test themselves before the real business begins.
Třinec struck first when an unmarked player found the back of the net just before the break, giving the visitors a half-time advantage. The goal came at 45 minutes and appeared to have given the Czech side the upper hand. However, Tychy emerged with renewed purpose after the interval and drew level through D. Kądzior on the hour mark, the forward making no mistake with a well-taken finish.
The remainder of the match saw both teams probe for a winner without either able to find a decisive breakthrough. Tychy pressed forward in spells, looking to capitalise on their equaliser and claim victory, while Třinec remained compact and dangerous on the counter-attack. The intensity dipped slightly in the closing stages as both managers appeared content with the work their sides had put in over the ninety minutes.
The 1-1 draw suited both parties, offering valuable minutes and tactical insights with the competitive season just around the corner. Tychy will take encouragement from their comeback, while Třinec's opening-half performance showed they remain a threat going forward. Both sides will use this encounter as a springboard into their respective league campaigns.
