Chengdu Stage Dramatic Comeback Against Beijing Guoan

Chengdu Rongcheng and Beijing Guoan served up an entertaining contest at the home side's stadium, with both teams trading blows in an open, attacking affair. Beijing Guoan had dominated large stretches of the second half before Chengdu's rally, with Yuning's double putting them firmly in the driving seat. However, the visitors could not manage the final stages of the match, allowing their hosts to claw their way back into contention. Yellow cards were distributed to Y. Li for Chengdu in the 59th minute, then F. Abreu and F. Silva in the 76th, and F. Jia in the 81st as the match became increasingly heated.

The point moves both teams forward in their respective campaigns, though Chengdu will feel they grabbed something from what looked like a lost position. Beijing Guoan will rue their inability to see out a two-goal lead, squandering the chance to claim all three points on the road.
