Burgos Cruise Past Real Sociedad B in Friendly Opener

Burgos made the perfect start to their summer preparations with a convincing victory over Real Sociedad B on a warm afternoon in northern Spain. The hosts were aggressive from the opening whistle and their early pressure paid dividends when they broke the deadlock after just three minutes. F. Niño latched onto a loose ball to give Burgos an ideal platform, and the home crowd lifted as their team controlled the early exchanges.

Real Sociedad B struggled to find their rhythm and never truly threatened the Burgos goal in the first half. The visitors' defence looked vulnerable, and Burgos punished them again before the break when F. García doubled the advantage in the 38th minute. The goal effectively killed the contest as a contest, with Real Sociedad B unable to muster a meaningful response before half-time.

The second half saw Burgos ease off the accelerator slightly, though they never looked troubled by their opponents' attacking efforts. Real Sociedad B showed greater urgency after the interval and had more of the possession, but their attempts lacked precision and cutting edge. Burgos were content to sit deep and hit on the counter-attack, and their defensive discipline remained solid throughout the closing stages.

The victory gives Burgos a solid foundation for their pre-season preparations, with two early goals setting up a comfortable evening. For Real Sociedad B, the defeat offers a harsh reality check as they prepare for the challenges ahead, though friendlies remain about finding form rather than final judgement. The hosts will take plenty from this dominant performance as they continue their summer schedule.
