Un doublé de Keita assure la victoire en match amical à Dunkerque

USL Dunkerque made the most of their home advantage against Turkish visitors Samsunspor on a warm July evening in northern France. The hosts controlled much of the opening exchanges and looked composed in possession, while the away side struggled to find their rhythm in the early stages. The atmosphere at the ground was relaxed but engaged, fitting for a pre-season friendly between two clubs preparing for their respective campaigns.

Dunkerque broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute when Sekou Keita found the back of the net. The goal seemed to energise the home side, and just five minutes later Keita doubled their advantage with a second strike in the 38th minute. Samsunspor looked shell-shocked after conceding twice in quick succession, heading into half-time trailing 2-0 with considerable ground to make up.

The Turkish side showed more intent after the interval and began pressing higher up the pitch. Their patience was rewarded in the 79th minute when Jean Assoumou pulled one back to make it 2-1, setting up a tense finale. However, Dunkerque held firm through the remaining minutes, defending resolutely to see out the victory without further alarms.

The win gives Dunkerque confidence ahead of the new season, while Samsunspor will look to sharpen their performance in subsequent friendlies. Both teams will use these warm-up matches to build fitness and understanding, but the home side came away with bragging rights from this encounter.
