Feyenoord et Go Ahead Eagles partagent leurs butins lors d’un match nul divertissant

Feyenoord made the stronger start at De Kuip and their dominance paid off in the opening half. Gernot Zechiël broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute, giving the home side control of the contest. Five minutes later, Ado Ueda doubled their advantage with a second goal, leaving Go Ahead Eagles with work to do before the interval.

The away side emerged with renewed purpose after the break and halved the deficit in the 63rd minute when Soren Tengstedt pulled one back. That goal sparked a shift in momentum, and Go Ahead Eagles pressed hard to find an equaliser. The pressure told in the closing stages as the visitors drew level, forcing the match to Feyenoord 2-2 Go Ahead Eagles at full time.

Feyenoord's two-goal cushion unravelled in the second half, a lapse in concentration costly as Go Ahead Eagles showed they were a threat on the road. The visitors' comeback suggested character and tactical adjustment, though they were unable to complete the turnaround and claim all three points.

The draw leaves both teams level on a point from their opening fixture. Feyenoord will rue squandering their commanding position, while Go Ahead Eagles can take encouragement from their second-half performance and their ability to fight back from behind.
