Mukhtar Double Sinks Miami as Nashville Thrash Visitors

Nashville SC came out firing and made the visitors pay for early hesitation. Aimar Najar broke the deadlock in the 17th minute, setting the tone for what would become a thoroughly professional home display. Inter Miami offered little resistance in the opening stages, struggling to find their rhythm against a Nashville side clearly intent on pressing their advantage from the start.

The away side pulled one back just before half-time when Tomás Segovia found the net in the 45th minute, briefly offering hope of a comeback. That lifeline lasted only four minutes. Hany Mukhtar restored Nashville's two-goal buffer with a clinical finish in the 49th minute, and the momentum never shifted again. Sam Surridge added a third in the 56th, and when Mukhtar completed his brace in the 63rd minute, the contest was effectively over as a contest.

Nashville's midfield controlled possession throughout the second half while Inter Miami's star-studded lineup never truly threatened to spark a revival. Yellow cards for Surridge, Casemiro, Messi and Diego Ruiz reflected the frustration creeping into Miami's play as the scoreline stretched. The visitors could offer no sustained pressure, and Nashville's defence weathered what little came their way with ease.

The 4-1 victory represents a significant statement from the home side, who demonstrated clinical finishing and defensive solidity across the 90 minutes. For Inter Miami, the heavy defeat on the road will require serious analysis before they can regroup. Nashville, meanwhile, move forward with clear momentum and a performance that showcased exactly what they are capable of when firing on all cylinders.
