ليتشي يحقق الفوز الافتتاحي خارج أرضه على فينيسيا

Venezia and Lecce began their Serie A campaigns on an August afternoon that promised little in the way of spectacle but delivered a clean away win for the visitors. The home side had chances to trouble Lecce early on, yet struggled to build any sustained pressure despite enjoying spells of possession. Lecce's disciplined shape, established from the first whistle, gave them a platform to frustrate their opponents and hunt for opportunities on the break.

The match remained scoreless through the first half, but the deadlock was broken within minutes of the restart. Orhan Gorter rose to power home Lecce's opening goal on 46 minutes, giving the visitors the lead they would not relinquish. That breakthrough altered the complexion entirely, with Venezia forced into a more urgent approach while Lecce consolidated their advantage with measured defending and quick transitions.

The second goal arrived late in the contest, doubling Lecce's lead and settling the affair. Venezia's attempts to find a way back proved futile against opponents who had set their stall out to win on the road and executed that plan with precision. The pattern was established early and Lecce stuck to it, weathering whatever pressure came their way in the final stages.

Venezia pressed for an opening as the match wore on but lacked the cutting edge to break down a well-drilled Lecce backline. The away side's shape remained compact and organised, forcing the home team into speculative efforts from distance. Neither side's attacking play reached the heights required to produce a thriller, yet Lecce's efficiency in front of goal made the difference.

Discipline barely played a role, with only two yellow cards issued across the 90 minutes. Lecce's early caution to Kévin Gaspar and Ngom's booking in the second half represented minor intrusions in an otherwise controlled affair. For Venezia, this was a sobering start to the campaign, while Lecce departed with three points and genuine momentum heading into the weeks ahead.
