AFC Portchester took control early in the FA Cup qualifier. L. Wort put the home side ahead in the third minute, and S. Spurway doubled the lead just eight minutes later to give Portchester a commanding start.
Portland United pulled one back through an unmarked scorer in the 62nd minute and pressed for an equaliser in the closing stages. The pressure told when D. Ojo was sent off for AFC Portchester in the 88th minute, but the home side held on to secure a 2-1 victory over Portland United.
