Gorleston thrash Leighton Town in FA Cup qualifier

Gorleston FC made a blistering start and took the lead inside two minutes through H. Black. The away side doubled their advantage in the 17th minute when R. Curtis found the net, then added a third five minutes later through J. Jefford to put the match firmly beyond Leighton Town.

The hosts' afternoon got worse in the 56th minute when S. Mcclelland was sent off. R. Curtis added his second goal in the 58th minute to make it 4-0 and complete a dominant display from Gorleston. Leighton Town pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 84th minute when S. Ibie converted, but it proved only a consolation in a 1-4 loss against Gorleston FC.
