Iceland thrash Luxembourg in Nations League away win

Iceland took the lead in the 13th minute when A. Guðjohnsen opened the scoring with O. S. Óskarsson providing the assist. Luxembourg offered little in response and fell further behind before half-time when O. S. Óskarsson added a second goal in the 39th minute, assisted by A. Guðjohnsen.

The home side made no real impression after the break. Iceland sealed the victory in the 73rd minute through V. Pálsson, who was set up by G. Sigurðsson. H. R. Valdimarsson picked up a yellow card for Iceland in the 35th minute, while Í. B. Jóhannesson was booked in the 59th. Luxembourg's L. Barreiro and E. Mahmutović received yellows in the 72nd and 90th minutes respectively, with M. Ellertsson and Í. S. Þorvaldsson also cautioned for Iceland in the 78th and 90th minutes.
