Sport y Opérário se reparten los puntos en un emocionante encuentro de la Serie B.

Sport Recife and Operário-PR served up an absorbing encounter that kept the crowd on edge from start to finish. The home side looked to impose themselves early, but it was the visitors who struck first when Aylon found the net in the sixth minute. The goal came as a shock to Sport's system, yet the hosts showed character in their response and began to build momentum as the first half progressed.

B. Fonseca levelled matters for Sport in the 17th minute, drawing the teams level and sparking life into the home support. The midfielder's finish restored parity and shifted the balance of the match. Sport began to dominate possession after that breakthrough, though Operário proved compact and dangerous on the counter. By half-time, the home side held the upper hand, but discipline became an issue with both Marcelo and Zé Gabriel picking up yellow cards before the interval.

Sport took the lead early in the second half when F. Matheus struck in the 48th minute to give them a 2-1 advantage. The goal appeared to have settled matters, and Sport pressed for a third to put the game beyond doubt. However, Operário refused to wilt. The visitors mounted a sustained spell of pressure, and their persistence paid off when V. D. D. Antonia equalised in the 86th minute to make it 2-2. The finish set up a tense closing stretch, with both sides having chances to snatch a winner in the remaining moments and the added stoppage time.

The 2-2 draw means both teams picked up a point from a pulsating contest. Sport will feel they should have secured all three given their dominance, particularly after going ahead through Matheus. For Operário, the comeback showed resilience and fight, though they will have harboured hopes of snatching victory late on. The result leaves the title race wide open as the season progresses, with both sides knowing they must tighten up their finishing in coming weeks.
