ثلاثية براون تغرق بيركهامستد في مباراة سيتي رومب

St Albans City produced a commanding display at their home ground, overwhelming Berkhamsted Town in a fixture that proved no contest from start to finish. The home side controlled proceedings throughout and made their superiority count with ruthless efficiency in front of goal. The atmosphere reflected the gulf in class between the two sides as St Albans took their chances without mercy.

Kevin Brown opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 30th minute, giving the hosts the early breakthrough they had been threatening. Brown struck again just before the interval to double St Albans' advantage and effectively put the game beyond doubt. The visitors offered little resistance and found themselves facing an uphill battle as the half drew to a close.

St Albans picked up where they left off after the restart, with Brown completing his hat-trick in the 53rd minute to make it 3-0. A fourth goal arrived to round off the scoring, leaving Berkhamsted with no answers to the hosts' attacking threat. The visitors struggled to create anything of note and were largely confined to damage limitation duty throughout the second half.

The comprehensive victory gives St Albans a satisfying warm-up fixture ahead of the new season, though Berkhamsted will need to regroup and use this experience as motivation. For the hosts, the clinical finishing and controlling display should provide genuine confidence going forward. Both teams will take different lessons from this one-sided affair as pre-season preparations continue.
