Naples bat facilement Carrarese lors d’un match amical de pré-saison

Napoli dominated proceedings at the San Paolo in a routine pre-season outing against their Tuscan visitors. The hosts controlled the tempo from the outset, settling quickly into their rhythm while Carrarese struggled to impose themselves on the match. The friendly atmosphere provided a solid workout for the Partenopei as they continued their summer preparations ahead of the new campaign.

Rasmus Højlund broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, giving Napoli an early advantage that they never relinquished. The forward's clinical finish set the tone for what would become a comfortable afternoon for the home side. Napoli extended their lead just before the interval when Giovane converted from the penalty spot in the 45th minute, putting the result beyond doubt heading into the second half.

The second period saw Napoli ease off slightly, content with their two-goal cushion and the chance to give minutes to squad players. Carrarese offered little in terms of attacking threat throughout the ninety minutes, rarely troubling the home defence and unable to create meaningful chances. The away side's struggles reflected the gulf in class between the two teams, though they worked hard without reward.

The SSC Napoli 2-0 Carrarese scoreline represented a solid afternoon's work for the hosts as they build towards the season ahead. Napoli will take confidence from their control and efficiency in front of goal, while Carrarese know they have much to improve on if they are to be competitive in their own campaign.
