Aalen e Großaspach compartilham despojos em amistosos de verão

VfR Aalen hosted their regional neighbours on a bright afternoon as both clubs continued their preparations for the upcoming campaign. The friendly had all the intensity of a competitive fixture, with neither side willing to surrender ground easily despite the summer heat. A decent crowd turned out to watch two ambitious lower league outfits battle for supremacy in this local derby.

Großaspach struck first when an unnamed attacker found the back of the net in the eighth minute, catching the home defence off guard. Aalen responded well to going behind and restored parity through D. Melo, who equalised in the 16th minute to settle the nerves among the home supporters. The first half remained fairly even after that, with both teams creating chances but unable to establish a decisive advantage before the interval.

The second half brought renewed intensity from both sides. Großaspach moved ahead again when L. Stoppel scored in the 51st minute, putting them in the driving seat. Aalen refused to accept defeat and drew level once more when M. Kleinschrodt converted a penalty in the 61st minute, levelling the match at 2-2. From that point on, neither side could find a winning goal despite sustained efforts, and the match finished all square.

For both clubs, the draw offered valuable match fitness and tactical understanding ahead of competitive action. Aalen will be pleased with their comeback spirit after falling behind twice, while Großaspach showed they can compete against their neighbours. As pre-season friendlies go, this delivered the kind of competitive football both managers will have wanted to see from their squads.
