انتهت مباراة بورصاسبور وشاختار دونيتسك بالتعادل السلبي.

Bursaspor and Shakhtar Donetsk served up a tightly-contested affair on a warm July evening, with both sides content to feel their way into the contest during the opening stages. The home crowd created an encouraging atmosphere as the Turkish outfit looked to stamp their authority on proceedings, though the visitors proved stubborn opponents from the moment they arrived.

Few clear-cut chances emerged in a match defined more by solid defending than attacking brilliance. Both teams looked to build possession gradually, with midfield battles proving decisive in dictating the tempo. Shakhtar's M. Gomes picked up a caution in the 39th minute, a booking that represented one of the few disciplinary moments in an otherwise clean contest.

The second half followed a similar pattern to the first, with neither side able to manufacture the decisive breakthrough. Bursaspor pressed for a winner on home soil but found Shakhtar's backline well-organised and resistant to penetration. The visitors, meanwhile, lacked the cutting edge required to trouble their opponents' keeper on any meaningful occasion.

The goalless draw did neither side any favours given this was a pre-season friendly, though both camps could take encouragement from their defensive solidity. Bursaspor 0-0 Shakhtar Donetsk represented a fair result for an evenly-matched encounter, with plenty of work remaining for both squads as they prepare for their competitive campaigns ahead.
