Simeone decide el partido inaugural de la Coppa Italia para el Torino

Torino made the perfect start to their Coppa Italia campaign with a clinical victory over visiting Carrarese. The home side needed just nine minutes to break the deadlock through G. Simeone, who found the net early and set the tone for what would become a controlled performance. Once ahead, Torino managed the game effectively and kept their lower-league opponents at bay throughout the afternoon.

The decisive moment arrived almost immediately. Simeone's well-taken finish in the ninth minute proved to be the only goal of the match, giving Torino the platform they needed to advance. From that point forward, the hosts dictated proceedings and limited Carrarese to few meaningful opportunities, content to protect their advantage rather than push for further goals.

Carrarese's task became increasingly difficult after F. Oliana's dismissal on 81 minutes, which followed an earlier yellow card shown to the same player in the 39th minute. The red card left the away side a man down with little time remaining to salvage anything from the contest. Torino saw out the remaining minutes comfortably, allowing stoppage time to pass without alarm.

The victory sends Torino confidently into the next round with Torino 1-0 Carrarese the final scoreline. Simeone's early intervention made the difference on the night, and the hosts' ability to stay compact defensively ensured they would not be troubled once their early breakthrough had been secured.
