هيلاس فيرونا وفيرتوس إنتيلا يتقاسمان الغنائم في مباراة كوبا إيطاليا التي تعادلت

Hellas Verona's home tie against visiting Virtus Entella proved to be a competitive affair, with neither side willing to give ground in the early stages. The match swung back and forth as both teams sought to establish control, setting the tone for an open contest that would see chances at both ends.

Virtus Entella struck first when B. Guiu fired them ahead in the 16th minute, giving the visitors an early advantage. Hellas Verona responded with sharp attacking play and levelled through M. Compagnon in the 20th minute to restore parity. The momentum shifted once again when A. Sarr put the home side ahead just before the break at 36 minutes, seemingly positioning Hellas Verona for victory as they entered the interval leading 2-1.

The second half saw Virtus Entella refuse to accept defeat, and they drew level when Guiu completed his brace to make it Hellas Verona 2-2 Virtus Entella. Disciplinary issues emerged as the match wore on, with N. Squizzato and S. D. Mario both cautioned for Entella, but neither team could find the breakthrough needed to secure all three points. The intensity remained high throughout, yet neither goalkeeper was forced into a decisive save.

The draw leaves both teams level heading into extra time or, more likely, a penalty shootout to settle who advances from this Round of 64 encounter. Hellas Verona will reflect on surrendering a one-goal lead, while Virtus Entella showed the character to recover and force the tie beyond ninety minutes. The result underlines the unpredictable nature of cup football, where momentum can shift in moments and neither side deserved to be eliminated on the night.
