Yusuf réussit un triplé de Revolution pour une victoire dominante à l’extérieur

DC United fell to a heavy defeat at home on Tuesday evening, overwhelmed by a New England Revolution side that controlled the contest from start to finish. The visitors arrived with clear attacking intent and made it count early, setting the tone for a one-sided affair at Audi Field.

Amara Yusuf announced himself as the evening's dominant force with the opening goal in the 23rd minute, giving New England Revolution the lead they would never relinquish. The forward doubled his tally before the interval, striking again in the 45th minute to leave DC United shell-shocked at half-time. Yusuf completed his hat-trick 21 minutes into the second half with his third goal in the 66th minute, by which point the home side's resistance had crumbled entirely.

DC United struggled to mount any meaningful threat throughout and appeared short of ideas in both attack and defense. The hosts' back line proved vulnerable to New England's pressing game, while their midfield failed to generate sufficient control or defensive cover. New England Revolution, by contrast, moved with purpose and precision, executing their attacking gameplan with clinical efficiency.

The result leaves DC United facing serious questions about their form and defensive setup heading into the season's final weeks. New England Revolution, meanwhile, depart the capital with a statement win that significantly strengthens their position in the Eastern Conference standings. Yusuf's match-winning performance will demand a response from the home side when they look to bounce back in their next fixture.
