Frankfurt oblitera St Tönis na Rota DFB Pokal

SC St Tönis 11/20 had no answer for Eintracht Frankfurt's clinical finishing from the opening whistle. The visitors established complete control early and never relented, turning a cup tie into a one-sided exercise in attacking football. By the time the dust settled, Frankfurt had registered eleven goals in a performance that will haunt the home side for years.

Jgonny Burkardt set the tone with an early strike in the fourth minute, before Robin Koch doubled the advantage six minutes later. Aymen Amaimouni Echghouyab extended Frankfurt's lead to three by the seventeenth minute, and Burkardt struck again in the twenty-ninth to put the result beyond doubt. Cristian Uzun then took centre stage with a brace in the thirty-fourth and thirty-sixth minutes, sandwiching Frankfurt's mounting dominance around the half-hour mark.

The second half proved to be merely a formality. Burkardt completed his hat-trick in the forty-first minute before Ellyes Baum added a fifth in the forty-fourth. Mario Götze broke through in injury time at the end of the first period, followed by Youssef Ebnoutalib moments later to cap a ten-goal blitz before half-time even concluded. St Tönis 11/20 had conceded eleven goals by the break.

Eintracht's ruthlessness in attack overshadowed any meaningful resistance from the hosts. Frankfurt's movement and finishing were consistently sharp, with multiple players getting on the scoresheet and stretching the home defence at will. Baum's caution in the seventh minute had no bearing on Frankfurt's steamroller performance, as the away side simply continued to accumulate goals with ease.

This result represents a statement of intent from Frankfurt in a competition they will view as winnable territory. St Tönis 11/20, meanwhile, faces a long journey home and the painful aftermath of a record-breaking defeat in the DFB Pokal.
