Lacazette hace un doble hundimiento a Al Faisaly en una exhibición dominante de Neom

Al Faisaly offered little resistance as Neom SC dominated from the moment the second half began, leaving the home crowd with little to celebrate on a frustrating evening in Riyadh. The visitors arrived with clear tactical intent and executed their gameplan to perfection, leaving the hosts chasing shadows for much of the match. This was a performance that announced Neom SC as serious contenders in the league's upper reaches.

The first half saw Al Faisaly work without reward, unable to trouble Neom's defence with any sustained threat. Lacazette remained largely isolated until the interval, but the Frenchman transformed the contest entirely after the break. He broke the deadlock in the 51st minute with a clinical finish, then doubled his tally nine minutes later to all but settle the affair. Al Faisaly's backline simply could not cope with the pace and movement of their opponents once the second period began.

Neom's control tightened after the goals went in. Having taken the lead through Lacazette's opener, they moved swiftly to extinguish any hope of an Al Faisaly comeback with the second strike. The visiting side's midfield began to dominate possession, and the hosts found themselves desperately short of ideas for how to respond. By the time Lacazette's second goal arrived, the outcome was effectively decided.

Al Faisaly struggled to impose themselves throughout, particularly after the interval. Their approach lacked the incisiveness needed to trouble Neom's goalkeeper, and defensive vulnerabilities were brutally exposed whenever the visitors attacked. Neom, by contrast, showed patience in possession and clinical finishing when chances fell their way, striking the perfect balance between control and counterattack. The visitors' superiority was evident in every department.

Discipline remained largely maintained, though Al Faisaly's frustration began to show as the match slipped away. Thibaut Bongonda received a yellow in the first half for a rash challenge, while Christophe Bassogog picked up a second-half caution as the hosts grew increasingly desperate. These bookings reflected the mounting pressure on the home side as they chased the game without ever looking like breaching Neom's resolute backline. Both teams managed the closing stages without further incidents, with Neom content to see out a comprehensive victory.

The defeat leaves Al Faisaly facing difficult questions about their defensive setup and attacking potency ahead of next weekend's fixture. For Neom SC, this away win represents a significant statement of intent in what promises to be a competitive title race. The visitors' clinical nature in front of goal and their ability to shut down opponents once they achieved their objectives will make them formidable opponents for any side in the division.
