ماينز يدمر كريسشو بعرض قاس من تسعة أهداف

VfB 1921 Krieschow had no answer to 1. FSV Mainz 05's clinical finishing on the road. The Mainz side arrived in devastating form and dismantled their opponents with ruthless efficiency, scoring nine goals across 90 minutes in a performance that will rank among the most humbling defeats in the host club's history.

Philipp Tietz set the tone early, opening the scoring in the 19th minute before adding a second seven minutes later to establish Mainz's authority. He completed his hat-trick in the 32nd minute, with Nadiem Amiri adding a fourth just before half-time to make it VfB 1921 Krieschow 0-4 1. FSV Mainz 05. Silvan Becker's finish on 43 minutes, seconds before the interval, pushed the advantage to five. Amiri struck again immediately after the restart to extend Mainz's lead further, before Tietz claimed his fourth of the evening in the 57th minute.

The gulf in class became apparent well before half-time. Krieschow's defence simply could not cope with Mainz's movement or composure in front of goal. After going in 0-5 down at the break, any hope of a recovery had evaporated, and the visitors never needed to exert themselves in the second half. Their defence tightened slightly but the damage was already inflicted.

Mainz controlled possession throughout and converted their chances with a precision that Krieschow could not match. The away side's midfield dominated the middle of the pitch, creating space for their attackers to operate with ease. Krieschow offered little attacking threat and appeared overwhelmed by the intensity and quality on display. By the closing stages, the match had become an exercise in damage limitation for the home team.

Becker received a yellow card in the 24th minute for 1. FSV Mainz 05 but it barely interrupted the visitors' rhythm. With the match effectively decided by half-time, both sides saw out the remaining 45 minutes with professionalism, though there was never any doubt about the outcome. Mainz's advance to the next round is assured, while Krieschow will reflect on a chastening night that exposed the gap between the Bundesliga side and their lower-league opponents.
