La segunda mitad tan clínica del Milan sorprende al Torino en casa

Torino began brightly at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino but found themselves undone by AC Milan's ruthless finishing in the second half. The home side had created enough to feel confident going into the break, yet emerged from it facing a different kind of opponent. Milan's intensity in the final 30 minutes proved the decisive factor in what became a typically tight Serie A encounter on opening weekend.

Torino struck first through a well-worked move that had the crowd behind them, establishing an early foothold in the match. That advantage lasted until the hour mark, when AC Milan's Cissè levelled the score with a clinical finish in the 64th minute. Two minutes later, Rabiot put the visitors ahead with a second goal in quick succession, turning the match on its head with remarkable efficiency.

The momentum shift arrived with brutal speed once Milan found their rhythm. The away side's pressing intensified after Cissè's leveller, and Torino's defence, which had looked solid enough until then, suddenly found itself under sustained pressure. Within the space of 120 seconds, Milan had completely rewritten the narrative of the match and seized control with a composure that belied their visiting status.

Milan's control grew as the match wore on, though Torino never surrendered entirely. The home side pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages but lacked the cutting edge needed to trouble Milan's backline. Stefano Pioli's setup appeared designed to absorb pressure and strike on the counter, and that strategy paid dividends once the opening presented itself in the second half.

Discipline remained tight throughout, with only Fikayo Loftus-Cheek receiving a caution for Milan in the 52nd minute. Neither side descended into excessive fouling, though the intensity never wavered. This result sends Milan into their season with momentum while Torino must quickly respond to what remains a salvageable opening fixture, despite the sting of losing at home.
