Bodø/Glimt finissent NEC Nimègue espère une prestation clinique à l’extérieur

NEC Nijmegen offered little resistance as Bodø/Glimt swept through their playoff tie with a comprehensive away win. The Norwegian side dominated large stretches of the contest at the Goffert Stadium, leaving the home crowd with little to celebrate as the evening wore on. The hosts never found the rhythm needed to threaten their visitors consistently, and Bodø/Glimt punished their hesitancy with ruthless finishing.

Sondre Fet broke the deadlock in the 25th minute, giving the away side an early foothold they would never relinquish. NEC Nijmegen hauled themselves level briefly before conceding again, but Bodø/Glimt restored their lead through Alfons Helmersen's penalty on the stroke of half-time. The spot kick came after T. Storm picked up a booking for NEC Nijmegen, and it shifted the momentum decisively toward the visitors heading into the break. Helland Aleesami sealed the outcome just five minutes into the second half, making it 1-3 and essentially ending the tie as a contest.

The second half became a procession as NEC Nijmegen chased the game without conviction. Bodø/Glimt controlled possession with ease and occasionally threatened more themselves, with O. Brynhildsen earning a yellow card for a late challenge as the visitors managed the match professionally. The home side's sole goal came too late to matter and arrived against the run of play, a consolation rather than a genuine threat to Bodø/Glimt's advancing position.

Bodø/Glimt's clinical finishing and defensive solidity secured their passage to the next round, with the away victory representing a complete performance across all phases of play. NEC Nijmegen's campaign ended in disappointment, unable to recover from a sluggish opening that allowed the Norwegians to seize control. The visitors depart the Netherlands with a fully deserved advantage and genuine momentum heading into the latter stages of the competition.
