ليفسكي وآيك يتقاسمان في التصفيات دون تسجيل نقاط

Levski Sofia 0-0 AEK Athens in a Champions League playoff round that delivered little in the way of clear-cut chances or attacking flourish. The Bulgarian hosts controlled possession for large spells but found the Greek visitors resolute and compact in defence, frustrating their attempts to find a breakthrough. AEK, operating on the road, set up to absorb pressure and hit on the counter, a strategy that largely succeeded in keeping Levski at bay.

The match lacked the intensity and incisiveness typical of European football at this level. Neither side created the kind of gilt-edged opportunities that swing knockout ties. Levski pressed forward with increasing desperation as the second half wore on, but AEK's defensive shape held firm, with goalkeeper and backline combining to withstand the home team's sustained pressure without serious alarm.

Tactical caution defined the encounter more than attacking ambition. Levski's midfield repeatedly sent balls into dangerous areas, yet AEK's defenders stood firm and cleared the danger. The visitors had their moments on the break, threatening to exploit space on the counter, though they too struggled to manufacture genuine scoring opportunities that tested their counterparts.

The goalless result leaves everything to play for in Athens. Neither team has moved significantly closer to Champions League qualification, meaning both will arrive at the return leg knowing a single goal could prove decisive. Levski will rue their inability to convert home advantage into a lead to take east, while AEK will take heart from a professional away performance that keeps the tie wide open heading into the second instalment.
