Scamacca scelle la victoire à l’extérieur de l’Atalanta à Tel Aviv

Atalanta's disciplined performance in Israel delivered a hard-fought away win in the Conference League playoff round. The visitors controlled possession for large periods but faced a resolute Hapoel Tel Aviv defence that frustrated their attacking play through the first half.

The breakthrough came in the 72nd minute when Gianluca Scamacca finished clinically to give Atalanta the lead. From that point, Hapoel Tel Aviv pressed for an equaliser but found Atalanta's defensive shape difficult to penetrate. The hosts grew increasingly desperate in their search for a goal, and that frustration boiled over as the match entered its final stages.

Hapoel Tel Aviv accumulated five yellow cards as the game became increasingly heated. Chico joined Falcão, Mayembo, Coco and Turiel in the referee's book, with the Israeli defender picking up his caution in the 90th minute.
