Anderlecht advances with commanding home victory over Kairat

RSC Anderlecht proved too strong for visiting Kairat Almaty, advancing from the Europa League playoff round with a convincing 3-0 victory at home. The Belgian side controlled proceedings throughout and made their superiority count with three well-taken goals across the 90 minutes.

Marko Cvetković opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 45th minute just before the break, giving Anderlecht the platform they needed. Danylo Sikan doubled the advantage early in the second half with a clinical finish on 53 minutes, before Giulian Biancone sealed the result with a third goal in the 71st minute.

Kairat's afternoon was made difficult by a disciplinary record that saw three of their players booked as they struggled to contain their hosts. The Kazakh side offered little threat in attack and offered little resistance as Anderlecht's quality eventually told decisively on the night. The home side's dominant performance sees them progress to the next stage of the competition.
