Angers run riot at Auxerre to secure commanding away victory

Angers made a devastating start at the Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps, taking the lead through B. Van den Boomen in the fifth minute. The away side controlled proceedings in the opening stages, but Auxerre found their way back into the match when R. Lascary equalised in the 35th minute to level at 1-1 by half-time.

The second half proved decisive for Angers. D. Harouna restored the visitors' lead with a 70th-minute goal before A. E. Ouazzani added a third in the 78th minute, sealing Angers' 1-3 victory over Auxerre. The away side's clinical finishing in the second period proved too much for the home team to overcome.
