Atlético Madrid offered little response throughout the match. K. Lee picked up a yellow card in the 39th minute but the visitors could not trouble Athletic Club's defence. In the closing stages, O. Sancet added a third goal in the 90th minute to seal a 3-0 victory over Atlético Madrid.
