Wolverhampton made a bright start and went ahead inside three minutes when F. López finished after R. Gomes set him up. Birmingham City levelled in the 22nd minute through J. Stansfield, assisted by P. Roberts.
The away side reclaimed the lead in the 31st minute when L. Krejčí scored, with André providing the assist. Birmingham City equalised again five minutes later, though it came in unfortunate fashion as J. Tchatchoua turned the ball into his own net.
The sides could not be separated after the break, leaving Birmingham City and Wolverhampton to share the points in a 2-2 draw.
