Estudiantes and Corinthians share spoils in Copa quarter-final
Estudiantes de La Plata went ahead early through A. Castro in the fourth minute, with E. Mancuso providing the assist. The home side looked to build on that advantage through the first half as Corinthians struggled to settle into the match.
The away side equalised shortly after the interval when Kaio César scored in the 49th minute, assisted by R. Garro. Corinthians grew into the game after that goal and pushed to find a winner, but neither team could break the deadlock. The sides shared a 1-1 draw in a knockout fixture that will require extra time or a penalty shootout to decide who progresses.
