Philadelphia Union demolish Cincinnati with five-goal display
Philadelphia Union made light work of FC Cincinnati, running out 5-0 victors in a dominant display at home. The match turned decisively in the first half when Cincinnati's O. Nwobodo was sent off in the 16th minute. Philadelphia Union took full advantage of their numerical advantage, going ahead from the penalty spot through Q. Sullivan in the 43rd minute. Before half-time, B. Damiani added a second goal assisted by C. Sullivan.
Cincinnati offered little resistance after the break. Damiani struck again in the 49th minute, this time set up by Q. Sullivan, and completed his hat-trick in the 61st minute with another assist from C. Sullivan. Damiani rounded off the scoring in the 72nd minute, assisted by K. Wagner.
