Christie hat-trick sinks Lincoln in Carabao Cup

Bournemouth made a flying start and went ahead in the seventh minute when R. Christie finished after B. Doak set him up. Lincoln City never recovered from the early goal and offered little threat going forward.

The visitors picked up a yellow card through C. Elder in the 27th minute, but could not find any way back into the match. J. Kluivert was booked for Bournemouth in the 41st minute as the hosts comfortably held their lead at the break.

Lincoln City's task became even harder after the interval. D. Jefferies received a yellow card in the 48th minute, while Bournemouth added a second goal in the 69th minute through R. Christie, assisted by D. Brooks. A. Silva was shown yellow for the hosts in the 61st minute, and D. Oyegoke was booked for Lincoln City in the 67th minute.

R. Christie completed his hat-trick in the 88th minute with B. Diakité providing the assist. Rayan added a fourth goal in the 90th minute, with D. Jebbison setting him up, to seal Bournemouth's 4-0 victory over Lincoln City.
