Djurgårdens ruthless finishing stuns Häcken at home

BK Häcken's home faithful arrived hoping for three points, but Djurgårdens had other ideas from the opening minutes. The away side struck early through Oskar Fallenius in the fourth minute, setting an aggressive tone that caught the home defence off guard. The goal silenced the home crowd and forced Häcken to respond, though they struggled to find their rhythm in the opening exchanges.

Häcken equalised through Jacob Lindberg in the 29th minute, drawing level after some tentative play from the visitors. But Djurgårdens showed they were serious contenders when K. S. Lien fired them back in front just before half-time in the 41st minute. The two-goal swing left Häcken facing an uphill task as the teams headed into the break with Djurgårdens leading 2-1.

Lien added his second of the afternoon in the 73rd minute to extend Djurgårdens' advantage to 3-1, leaving Häcken desperately needing a lifeline. Brayan Sadiku pulled one back for the hosts with nine minutes remaining, but any hopes of a dramatic comeback were extinguished when Nino Žugelj sealed the victory in the 86th minute. Djurgårdens' discipline almost slipped in stoppage time when midfielder M. Marques received a red card in the 90th minute, but the damage had already been done.

The away victory sends Djurgårdens climbing the table with a deserved three points, while Häcken must regroup quickly after a disappointing home display. Lien's brace proved the difference on the day, with his clinical finishing exposing defensive vulnerabilities that Häcken struggled to address throughout the match. For Djurgårdens, this was a statement performance away from home. Häcken, meanwhile, face questions about their defensive solidity ahead of their next fixture.
