Peninsula Power Prove Too Strong for Brisbane Roar Youth in NPL Queensland Encounter
Peninsula Power were the better side throughout their NPL Queensland meeting with Brisbane Roar Youth on 27 June 2026, and the 3-1 scoreline reflects that. It was not always comfortable, but Peninsula Power did enough across the ninety minutes to claim a deserved victory against opponents who competed but ultimately couldn't match them.
While Peninsula Power were never in serious danger of dropping points, this was not a match without its battles. Brisbane Roar Youth competed well in spells and there were passages of play that kept the outcome in some doubt, but Peninsula Power's quality ultimately told. A 3-1 win that, in truth, their performance across the ninety minutes justified.
With 4 goals shared between the two sides, this was exactly the kind of match that keeps supporters engaged from first whistle to last. Both teams contributed, both threatened, and the open nature of the match made for compulsive viewing - whatever the final scoreline.
Peninsula Power take the points and move on in NPL Queensland. It was not always elegant, and there may be things to improve, but victories are what move the needle and Peninsula Power collected one today. Brisbane Roar Youth will feel aggrieved in the short term, but the gap between the sides was real, and they will need to identify why and close it.
