Académico Viseu FC took the lead in the tenth minute when A. Clóvis finished after C. Kahraman set him up. The visitors doubled their advantage just fourteen minutes later. Clóvis struck again in the 24th minute, assisted once more by C. Kahraman, to put Académico Viseu in control.

CF Estrela Amadora offered little response. E. Doué picked up a yellow card in the 30th minute as Estrela struggled to create openings. At the other end, G. Costa was cautioned for Académico Viseu in the 45th minute, but the visitors held their two-goal cushion at half-time.

The second half saw both sides receive yellow cards. J. Jordán was booked for Estrela in the 68th minute, while S. Messeguem and L. Silva were shown yellows for Académico Viseu in the 73rd minute. Estrela could not break down their visitors and Académico Viseu secured a 0-2 victory away from home.
