LA Galaxy hold on after Colorado Rapids comeback attempt

Colorado Rapids made the stronger start and went ahead in the fourth minute when D. Phillip finished after J. Atencio's assist. They doubled their lead through P. Aaronson in the 39th minute, with R. Holding providing the assist, and LA Galaxy trailed at half-time.

The home side levelled early in the second half through an own goal from R. Cannon in the 53rd minute. J. Klauss then put LA Galaxy ahead in the 66th minute before J. Haak added a third in the 74th, assisted by R. Taylor, to make it 3-2.

Colorado Rapids could not find an equaliser despite eight minutes of stoppage time added at the end, and LA Galaxy held on for a 3-2 victory over Colorado Rapids.
