Luxembourg stun Bulgaria with away win in Nations League

Bulgaria went ahead in the 18th minute when A. Chandarov opened the scoring, assisted by D. Velkovski. The home side had the better of the opening exchanges, though L. Petkov and E. Tsenov both picked up yellows as Bulgaria became increasingly scrappy in their approach.

Luxembourg equalised shortly before half-time. L. Barreiro levelled matters in the 37th minute to pull the visitors level. The momentum had shifted by the break, with Luxembourg starting to find their rhythm despite Bulgaria's early pressure.

The away side completed their turnaround in the 65th minute when V. Thill put Luxembourg ahead. Bulgaria could not find a way back, and Luxembourg held on for a 1-2 victory on the road.
