Chongqing y Zhejiang se reparten el botín en un empate

Chongqing Tonglianglong FC hosted Zhejiang under summer skies on 18 July, with both teams eager to pick up three points in a competitive fixture. The home side looked to make their mark early, but it was the visitors who struck first with a well-taken goal. The stadium fell quiet as Zhejiang's threat became clear in the opening exchanges.

W. Yudong put Zhejiang ahead in the 21st minute, catching the Chongqing defence off guard and giving the away team a commanding position. The goal forced Chongqing to reorganise and search for an immediate response. Soon after, Zhejiang's L. Possignolo picked up a yellow card in the 32nd minute, a moment that shifted the momentum slightly in the home team's favour as they began to apply greater pressure.

Chongqing grew into the match as the first half wore on, and they eventually found their leveller to restore parity before the break. The equaliser energised the home crowd and set up an intriguing second half where both teams had genuine chances to claim victory. Zhejiang remained organised in defence, but Chongqing pressed hard without being able to break through again.

The match finished 1-1, a result that felt fair given the balance of play across the 90 minutes. Both teams earned a point from a keenly contested encounter, though neither will have been entirely satisfied with taking just a share of the spoils. Chongqing will hope to build on this platform at home, while Zhejiang showed they remain competitive despite the early setback they overcame.
