The Armenian outfit created some nervous moments, but Shamrock Rovers' defence held firm to see out the victory.

The win sends Shamrock Rovers through to the next round of Europe's premier club competition and represents a significant achievement for the Irish side. Despite the nervy finish, the home victory was built on a solid first-half performance where they took their chances when they came. For FC Ararat-Armenia, the defeat ends their European campaign, but they showed character in fighting back to score an away goal.
