تقدم ساسولو بفوز قوي على تشيزينا على أرضه

Sassuolo made their intentions clear from the outset, dictating play against a Cesena side that offered little resistance in the opening stages. The home side's control of the midfield allowed them to build pressure steadily, and it took just 13 minutes for that superiority to show on the scoreboard when Cristian Volpato fired past the visiting goalkeeper to give Sassuolo the lead.

Cesena never recovered their footing after falling behind. Volpato's early strike set the tone for a first half that saw Sassuolo entirely comfortable in possession, and their dominance was rewarded again just before the interval when Vanja Adžić added a second goal to leave the tie effectively decided at the halfway point. The away side's depleted attacking threat meant Sassuolo could manage the game without great difficulty.

The second half proved a formality. Cesena introduced fresh legs but lacked the quality and cohesion required to trouble a Sassuolo defence that remained organized throughout. A yellow card for Cesena's A. David in the 64th minute reflected the visitors' increasing frustration, though they never mounted any meaningful threat to reduce the deficit or spark a comeback.

The Sassuolo 3-0 Cesena result sends the hosts into the next round with plenty of momentum and confidence. Cesena, meanwhile, must regroup and focus on their league campaign after a disappointing cup exit that offered them little to build on.
