Un doublé d’Evans fait tomber Shrewsbury à Fleetwood

An own goal from W. Boyle handed Fleetwood the lead after just eight minutes, setting an uncomfortable tone for the visitors. Rooney picked up a yellow in the second half. Neither team's record offered much concern, but Shrewsbury's accumulating bookings underlined their inability to regain any footing.

Fleetwood have booked their place in round three and will carry serious momentum forward. For Shrewsbury, this defeat represented a chastening exit from a competition where they offered no resistance whatsoever.
