Caution was shown sparingly before the red card disrupted proceedings, with Eros Fernandez booked early for Rangers and David Neil cautioned in the 65th minute as both teams occasionally overstepped the mark. The numerical disadvantage in the final stages meant Rangers had to manage the game carefully, and they did so effectively enough to secure the victory.

This 1-0 win gives Rangers a significant advantage heading into the return leg in the Czech Republic. The away goal remains beyond FK Jablonec's reach, but the visitors will take encouragement from their resilience and their ability to create opportunities despite Rangers' dominance.
