OFI Crete surpreende CSKA Sofia com vitória fora de casa na Liga Europa

OFI Crete produced a composed away performance to defeat CSKA Sofia 0-2 in the Europa League playoff round, progressing with a pair of well-taken goals in Sofia.

The visitors struck first through T. Nuss in the 36th minute, catching the home defence off guard. CSKA Sofia responded with typical aggression but struggled to create meaningful chances, hampered by the yellow card shown to C. Itu in the 40th minute and a second caution for B. Jordão just two minutes later that left them chasing the game.

OFI Crete doubled their advantage in the 78th minute when G. Theodosoulakis found the net, effectively settling the contest. CSKA Sofia pressed forward in the closing stages but could not find a way through. J. Eto'o received a yellow card late on as frustration mounted for the home side.

With two minutes of stoppage time added, the visitors managed the closing minutes expertly to claim a 0-2 victory away from home.
