Stoke City thrash Charlton Athletic 4-0 at home

Stoke City took control early and went ahead from the penalty spot in the 15th minute when J. Devenny converted. E. Galbraith doubled their lead seven minutes later, and a third quickly followed in the 25th as G. Hirst finished with E. Bocat providing the assist. Devenny added a fourth before half-time in the 40th minute, assisted by Bocat, to give Stoke a 4-0 lead at the break.

Charlton Athletic's task became impossible when D. McNamara was sent off in the 50th minute. The visitors offered little resistance and Stoke saw out the remaining time to secure a 4-0 victory over Charlton Athletic.
