Austin and San Diego share six-goal thriller

San Diego went ahead in the 50th minute when A. Godoy found the net. Austin levelled seven minutes later in unusual fashion as M. Desler turned the ball into his own net. The visitors regained the lead in the 64th minute through M. Ingvartsen, assisted by A. Dreyer.

Austin fought back to draw level again in the 73rd minute. B. Vázquez scored with E. Torres providing the assist. The home side then went ahead for the first time in the match when C. Ramirez added a second goal in the 82nd minute, this time set up by J. Bell.

San Diego refused to lie down. Four minutes later, C. Ramirez equalised once more for Austin, this time assisted by J. Gallagher. The sides shared a 3-3 draw when the match ended, with C. Ramirez receiving a yellow card in the 87th minute.
