Nashville SC went ahead in the 16th minute when H. Mukhtar finished after C. Espinoza set him up. The home side doubled their lead before half-time in the 43rd minute, with H. Mukhtar scoring again, this time assisted by S. Surridge.
Toronto FC offered little response in the second half. S. Surridge picked up a yellow card in the 81st minute, but Nashville SC held on comfortably to secure a 2-0 victory over Toronto FC.
