Manchester City edges eight-goal thriller against Sunderland

E. Fernández gave Manchester City the lead after nine minutes, but Sunderland struck back through B. Brobbey in the 12th minute with E. Le Fée providing the assist. Manchester City went ahead again when R. Cherki scored in the 29th minute, assisted by A. Semenyo, only for Brobbey to level matters once more in the 33rd minute from T. Meunier's cross.

A. Semenyo put Manchester City 3-2 up just before half-time with M. Guéhi setting him up. The second half saw Manchester City pull further clear when Semenyo added a second in the 57th minute, but Brobbey completed his hat-trick three minutes later, assisted by N. Angulo, to make it 4-3.

E. Haaland sealed the victory in the 81st minute with J. Gvardiol providing the assist, securing Manchester City's 5-3 victory over Sunderland.
