Cruz Azul and Toluca draw 3-3 in thrilling Apertura clash

Cruz Azul went ahead early when N. Ibáñez scored in the seventh minute, assisted by J. Paradela. The home side doubled their lead before half-time through G. Fernández in the 38th minute, with N. Ibáñez providing the assist.

CD Toluca pulled one back after the break when Helinho converted a penalty in the 55th minute. A minute later, the away side equalised through A. Vega, who was set up by Helinho. Vega then put Toluca ahead in the 78th minute with N. Castro supplying the assist.

Cruz Azul levelled again in the 90th minute when G. Fernández scored his second goal of the match, assisted by A. Montaño. The sides shared a 3-3 draw after eight minutes of stoppage time.
