Auxerre pulled one back just before half-time. C. Archer scored in the 42nd minute to make it 2-1 and give the visitors hope heading into the break.

The second half saw Lyon restore their two-goal advantage. E. Nuamah added a third in the 53rd minute, assisted by P. Šulc, and that proved enough to secure the points. Lyon held on to win 3-1 against Auxerre.
